If they play like Ole Miss or Ark game..............that may be very tough. I'm willing to bet you cannot name 3 players from TCU.
Are u a TCU fan 1st and Tiger fan 2nd? Is that why it's TCUTiger and not TigerTCU? Who are you pulling for in the Cowboy's Classic to open 2013?
TCU will be ranked in the top 20 for our game for sure. On paper, it is all LSU like always. However, TCU will be returning 10 starters on D which will likely be their biggest advantage over us, if you consider it one. However, they run a 4-2-5. More built for speed and could play into out power run game with our Proven O'line and RB's. Like many of you, I feel that we give enough underclassman playing time on D to not be concerned with our D. Sure, we will have some breakdowns and low points, but Chavis has always given this team the opportunity to win. Not once has a Chavis D allowed an LSU blowout. TCU's O is so so. About 10 yards better per game. Can pass and run well, but nothing game breaking.
Hilariously yet not surprisingly, this season isn't even over but we're already bitching about next year's offense. Classic.
No offense my fellow Tiger fan, but I just don't see it. Some skepticism can and SHOULD be expected with LSU's offensive output(no pun intended) since our NC season. It looks like you've been conditioned a bit to see negative where maybe none or, more appropriately, less exists than what you are interpreting. The negativity comes with the sky-high expectations and championship goals that LSU is in contention for just about every year. It's actually a side effect of winning and being a NC caliber football program. Get over it and enjoy it while it's here b/c it won't be here forever.
I would settle for an offense that could control TOP, consistently move the ball and score in the red zone. We look like the late '90s Cowboys relying on defense and FGs to win games.
Wait, what I'm I supposed to get over & enjoy, people being preemptively negative? I'm rather certain the meaning of what I said was lost on you.
I'm rather certain I addressed your post about "negative" Tiger fans. I can't really explain again w/out using pretty much the exact same words I used in my first post. I know that may sound like I'm being a smart ass and talking down to you. Please take my word for it that I am not. We'll hopefully just agree to disagree and move on. From what I read, it sounds like we have a decent contingent on this board who are at least open to the idea that the Tiger offense got better from Gainesville to now and has a chance to continue on into 2013. I need to see that continue vs. a below average, at least among Top 25 competition, defense on Dec.31st. With a win, and the further growth of our passing game, LSU should start out next year in the top 5 again. I can understand, though, how one could meet Miles' comment on his outlook for next years offense with some trepidation. Hope and enthusiasm are status quo for fans heading into a season. Especially a program with the record of LSU's this century. Offensively, however, those dreams have gone wanting for the better part of the last 5 years, so I can understand some skepticism. The vibe I'm getting is more hope than despair as I've read this thread. That was my main point in response to your comment on "bitching." The only "bitching" I read was in regards to Miles' comments as it equated to offensive performance for that given year. That "bitching" was just a bit of skepticism. Perfectly understandable, IMO, for such offensive years as 2008, 2009, 2010(minus Bama and Cotton Bowl), the back half of 2011 and the front half of 2012. The passing game that is. Again, seems most are on board with a higher sence of hope for our passing game since, maybe, 2007? We won it all that year! Here's to being top 15 in the NATION in passing next year. I have faith. Do you?
