Miles is oblivious, he is a deer in head lights. I'm sick of him and his hard headed ways. Sure the players stunk it up to a man but when you have a shitty gameplan with no adjustments that is on the coach. The coaches did not put the players in positions to win this game. That is all on Miles. It has happened too often.
I'm not asking for an undefeated season, I'm just asking for a coach to bring his team prepared. To have a proper gameplan with flexibility. If you are fine with last night that is great, I and many others expect a lil more from a coach being paid as well as Miles. No excuse for LSU to come out so ill prepared, especially with two damn weeks to prepare.
I think they were prepared, that's just a convenient excuse that they weren't. They were prepared to come out and run the football on Alabama which was Plan A. Les probably thought the strength of his team > than the strength of his opponent's team and he was dead wrong, and there was nothing else that could be done. Similar to 2012 in New Orleans. There wasn't a plan B.
I don't excuse Miles for bringing an ill prepared team. I am not fine with the game. Neither do I think the sky is falling after every loss.
Could very well be the case. I have to say that I thought LSU would run a bit better but I've felt all along that LSU would have to diversify their attack in order to win this game. I thought we would see more passing with how the previous few weeks were coming along. I did not have too much faith in the OL, they have too many penalties and block inconsistently.
#1 Do we ever throw to the TE? #2 Do we ever run routes across the middle? #3 Do we ever throw screen passes? Seems like all we throw are streak patterns to the wide outs.
I'm not saying the sky is falling. LSU is still in good shape as a whole. My issue is that the lack focus and ill prepared games happen too often. There is no excuse for it to be this consistently. Not with the talent level of the team. Also, say what you want but the swagger and fight is missing. LSU does not go into games with a championship mettle anymore. LSU was a team that fought to the bitter end, win or lose. That is all I want to see. I don't want to keep watching an ill prepared team playing not to lose. I want to see a team prepared and playing to win. I want to see diversity and improvement. Not regression.
1. DeSean Smith caught a pass last night, Moreau and Jeter both had balls thrown to them. 2. Yes but they are the 2nd and 3rd, and sometimes 4th read and it's rare our qb's ever look past their 1st read. 3. No, no screens, sometimes tailbacks run routes but I haven't seen a legit screen in years.
