That's true I suppose, but then it kind of goes back to coaching when you have quite a few games of the same mistakes. Still, it's too early to judge and this is something of a rebuilding year with an obvious chink in the armor at QB. If we finish strong these tough losses against capable teams won't sting as bad.
I echo an opinion I've seen frequently here that the defensive coaches are spread too thin. They can't effectively do their jobs as position coaches when they are busy gameplanning. And player effort may actually be one of our problems...every player wants to be a playmaker and make a play instead of playing within the scheme and letting the play come to them. They may be trying too hard, is what I'm saying...and it's causing them to forget their assignments. As to why they aren't learning otherwise, see above.
