We won a championship after losing to florida. Plus it's a team effort. He didn't single handily go 4-10 against florida. Argument seems a little silly.
and isl wants to experience some role playing with him where the bad chief has to be punished for not shucking the corn correctly -- but both of those scenarios dont change the fact that we were just talking about florida. hes obviously a solid hire. skewing stats = pet peeve...had to post it.
Doesn't matter what Tenn's W/L record is, what matters is how well the Tenn D did. We're looking for a DC, not a head coach.
It's more of an issue of Florida not allowing the Tenn. offense to get off the ground. They can't seem to eat up any clock or score any points against the Gators, and therefore can't get any momentum going their way. Florida dominates Tennessee...period. I don't think it would matter WHO the coach is... But if you want, we can fire him already. :rolleye33:
We should immediately open up the search for a DC who has shown an ability to consistently beat Urban Meyer-coached teams. Oh, wait...there aren't any.
Hopefully SF's comment will end this argument.... And we can focus on how Miles has handled the defense. He had an innovative idea that did not work -- Co DC's. Instead of embarrassing himself, the players or the coaches, he quietly fixed it with coaches who have to potential to improve our Tigers. In most other top programs, there would have been some major backstabbing and the coach would have thrown his Co DC's under the bus. But Les handles the media as well as any college coach out there.:geaux:
isnt that better than lsu's recent record against the gators (granted there was a fired coach in there)? i remember 3 wins, maybe there was 4 but not 5. anyway, as has partially been mentioned, our last 2 NCs came with UF losses.
