I beleive this was classic Coach Les Miles...always keep the opponent guessing! I can't wait to see the jaws of the Auburn fans if those 3 come running out of the tunnel on Saturday! GEAUX TIGERS!!!
You can't tell with Miles. In the beginning he downplayed the Russel Shepherd incident saying he wasn't worried about it.
Well, I don't think he was worried about it because the team didn't miss a beat during his suspension.
I think he was pretty clear. Miles has absolutely no reason share any info on this with anyone outside the program. If you don't see them play Saturday then you will know.
Best I figure, they're out for this game, but he doesn't want bama to know if they'll be back for that one or not. Not knowing if the starting RB and CB are going to play can really mess with their gameplan.
kind of think it's more about controlling the media, fan base reaction that can quickly create a ton of negativity around your football program. Bama has been thoroughly preparing for LSU since the season started. If Alabama continues to prep for Ware and #7 and they don't show up, so what? Coach Saban obsesses about halftime refreshments. He demands a contingency plan for even the most remote possibility on the field anyway.
I hope he has plenty of pepto as a contingency plan for his halftime refreshments. He's going to chit himself when he sees lsu hang 21 by halftime on his defense all the while getting the ball first in the second half. His stomach may be a little upset when he sees he has less than 100 yards offense aginst a stingy tiger defense in the first half. Well, that's what I want to think.
Just heard on ESPN that Miles has put before the suspended players his own contingency plan for their return for Nov.5. So all Bama fans can now relax that we are not going to be going down that confused and bewildered, deep dark vacuum, known as the trap of the hat.
Then you may see a different offensive approach if Ware doesn't play. Not drastically different, mind you, but any minor edge that you can gain is critical in this match-up. We may throw it more than the D is expecting, or we may try to hit the edges more. If TM7 doesn't play, then AJ may be more confident throwing to a particular side of the field, only to find that there's someone just as capable standing in his place. Again, minor differences.
