Hmmm, says RP was suspended for missing classes and team meetings the past couple weeks. Didn't his father just pass away? So maybe he did miss classes and team meetings and maybe under normal circumstances a player would be suspended for these transgressions, but RP definitely has an excuse for missing those events. It all just sounds like someone in the media got wind that he missed a few classes and is just trying to run down RP some more. Thus the reason Miles' isnt going to get in front of reporters before he is aware of all the facts. Thats my two cents, I dont think I posted any rumors in this, just makes sense to me that he might have missed a few things being his father just passed away.
As far as the RP situation goes, I am inclined to believe that Miles either hasn't reached a decision yet, or he doesn't have all of the facts yet (assuming there is something going down). Either way, the Athletic Dept or Miles will make that info available when they're comfortable with it. :crystal::geaux::crystal::geaux::crystal:
maybe, just maybe, coach miles wants the air to clear on this other crap first so that he can introduce the new coaches formally and properly with the accolades they deserve for such a promotion. no he doesnt have to answer questions, but that doesnt mean the press wont be like a dog with a bone with them. i can see where that would distract from the story cause the press would have two sentences about the new coaches in their stories, and two pages of other stuff. i am willing to give miles the benefit of the doubt on this one.
According to the rumor circulating around, supposedly he missed these things last month. This was weeks before his father passed. Not that I necessarily believe any of this.
One other thing to add about whatever RP "rumors" are floating around: I have been checking 3 major sports media outlets websites- ESPN.com, CNNSI.com and FOXSPORTS.com numerous times a day to see if any of them would report this story. None of them have even mentioned it. And last, I have faith that CLM will handle this situation well and do what he feels is right for the team. His track record has demonstrated at least that much. :crystal::geaux::crystal::geaux::crystal:
I feel this assessment is the most realistic. As much momentum as these rumors have gained it would be a simple thing to put an end to it. :tigereye:
Well I can understand that, but the other side of that is, his died was terminally ill at the time. Unless he passed away unexpectantly.
Lets see, this rumor comes out the same day that the reports out of Dallas that there's some old "documents" about the conspiracy in the JFK case. I wonder if RP was involved in his killing.
