Just get on the thing when you're watching TV and the time will go quickly.

I agree with your sentiments. I'm not sure who would be better other than Saban, and that's not happening. If you look at the record in 9+ years, he's been one of the most successful coaches in college football. Yes, he drives fans (including me) crazy at times with his clock management and some of his decision making. I'm just not sure what is available as an upgrade out there. If we're perceived as running him out of town despite his success, what great coach would want this job?

Do we have a TE on the roster that's worth a fuck? If so, please tell me his name. I'm not talking about how many stars he had coming out of high school. I'm talking about making plays in a game. One of the reasons they aren't featured is because they haven't earned the right to be featured. Travis Dickson, D Smith, D Gordon, etc haven't been productive from what I've seen when they've been given a chance.

OK, that's a decent suggestion, but it seems like a long shot to me for him to want the job. He has a pretty sweet gig already.

This is a great post full of well reasoned points. Thanks, Red.

James Franklin, but Miles isn't going anywhere unless he chooses to go.

    Who's the same person??

Stacy seems to think that I'm intentionally disrespecting "Jennings". I'm not. My apologies to Stacy that I got stuck on calling him the wrong name [really don't know why Jenkins was stuck in my mind .... I knew his name was Jennings ... just strike it up as a Senior Moment]. However, The fella hasn't made much of an impression on me. In fact, the impression he has made on me is similar to the other "j" that I won't mention again. A single play in the AR game doesn't impress me much.

OTOH .. .if you are saying that J and J are interchangeable, I'd have to agree at this point. But that could change ... but probably won't.

If you are saying I"m the same person as someone else, .... I don't know what you're talking about. Since I'm not exactly a member of "the club" here, I only show up for football season, so I wasn't here back in the spring ... other than the occassional lurk to read any discussion on the spring game.

I'm sorry but saying he reminds you of Jordan Jefferson is ludicrous. Jennings is nothing like Jefferson, and anyone with half a brain could watch them play and know this to be true.
