For real. This team is so Jekyl and Hyde. One week, Cameron is a wizard, calling creative plays we've never seen before and the popular sentiment is 'there's no way Les is handcuffing Cameron. Then the next week, it's the same old predicatable Big 10 offense that has Les' smudgy, ear wax covered fingerprints all over it. It's maddening. Exactly tiga. I'm not upset at the loss per se. Nobody is going to win every game. But it's how we lose that's so frustrating. Running the same old predictable plays over and over again and not passing until we're in desperation mode. That shit works against teams we can wear down that have no depth. It does not work in the SEC. We had over 300 yards passing last night, most of it in the 4th Q. Imagine if we'd been doing that all night.
totally agree time for a change miles will never learn to adapt to sec football., or be competetive with other coaches.
The defense had a bad game last night, but I'm not worried about that side of the ball. Chief will correct it, and the defense will again be stout. The offense is the other issue, and until the OL gets more dominate, expect more 3 and outs, and playing from behind. The Florida, Bama, Ole Miss and Kentucky defenses will kill us if Cam doesn't get something figured out.
In the end, we didn't even need for that to have been a TD. If we'd scored a FG on that drive, we would not have been going for 2-point conversions on the two TDs where we did attempt them, and the score would have been tied at 35. But, come on, we should have scored. Personally, I would have kept Williams in on 2nd down, instead of Fournette. He runs harder, and I think he'd have probably scored. He was so close on 1st down.
I mentioned your 1st statement earlier and got blasted on, and I agree. Williams is the LSU version of the gumps Henry. No way MooU stops him on 4 straight attempts from the 2. Hell Jennings could've taken the snap and dove under center for the score.
Agree. And on a different note, your Cowboys pulled out a last minute W that will make last nights loss a little easier to accept. Unfortunately, I think my misery will continue. I expect the Broncos to get pounded by Seattle this afternoon.
It's ironic that Mo Claiborne iced the game with an interception. I was watching the first half on an elliptical at the gym, and he couldn't have played any worse.
