Did the other threads mention HIM blaming the coaching? That's what made this one different/noteworthy imo. Sorry if I was mistaken.

Not saying I'm advocating a change but to say there are none is silly. I can think of one but not going to get into defending a hypo.

Many of the posters are being constructive. There are just different ways to express, "If you keep doing what you've always done, you're going to keep getting what you've always gotten. "

So true. TWO trick plays IN THE FIRST QUARTER told anyone with 1/2 a brain that we were in trouble.

There are a few who would love to see Miles go, and I'm not sure how upset I'd be, but most aren't saying fire him. Most are saying that was a sorry display last night. It was.

It would probably be good to put Harris in future games if nothing else than to give jennings achane to take a breath, see the game from the sidelines, and think about things. Harris could do worse than Jennings, but not much. Or he could do better.

A decent passing game helps the running game and OL. A decent offense helps the defense. We need to figure out how to pass consistently with one or both QBs. I think the entire team would benefit. Unfortunately we didn't play Jennings much last year (ahem... Miles) so you have a true F and a SO with a handful of games under his belt.

    Three comments:
    1. Nobody fires a coach with an 80% winning record.
    2. What established coach would leave a cushy job to work at a place where 80% isn't good enough?
    3. Finding an up-and coming coach that works out (like we did with Nick and Les) isn't easy or automatic. Remember Mike Archer, Curley Hallman, and Gerry Dinardo? How about Perkins, Curry, Dubose, Price and Francione at Alabama. How about Zook and Muschamp at Florida. Or Kiffen at USC. The chances of replacing a coach with the next young Bear Bryant are damned slim . . . for any school.
Les isn't going anywhere. Irritated fans like to vent their frustrations on the internet and they range from well-thought out to totally ludicrous. Many are just rants from folks who don't remember what a really bad team and coach is like. They just need to get stuff off their chests, I suppose.

The 21st century is the golden age of LSU football and we should enjoy it while it lasts because it won't last forever. And no use hastening it by going on a coach carousel again.

Someone just needs to remind Les there are only 4 quarters. You make adjustments when things don't work.

Did you happen to notice a quarterback change, an offense change, and a 21-point 4th quarter? Would you call those adjustments?

What you don't remember are six straight losing seasons in the 90's. I sat through them.

We had a bad football game. It happens to everybody. But this is not a bad football program. It has been too successful.

I would call them adjustments that should have been made when there was time for them to make a difference. We were already down 21 and partially into the 4th quarter when Harris came in. And truth be told, the change came after Jennings got his clock cleaned on a corner blitz. My impression was, Harris came in because Jennings was hurt.

You made some great points about why we shouldn't change coaches; hell, I've made the same arguments a few times myself. But it has to be said that among Miles' negs as a head coach is that he is stubborn and slow to change. So I make these prediction for you, coming from a Miles supporter:

It will take a minimum 3 more offensive performances like last night before Miles permanently pulls Jennings for Harris. And even after the change, it will not mean an immediate change to a balanced attack.
