That's how I saw it, too. And I also think the unsportsmanlike conduct call was BS; it should have been delay of game. That gave them an automatic first down. Don't remember, though, the outcome of that drive. Was that the same drive as Johnson's personal foul?
Yes. 90 yard drive ended in a FG. Of, course of the 90 yds 42 yds were penalties against us.:angryfire
Kicking the ball is something that should not happen. I don't have a problem with a 15 yard penalty, that was a total brain fart and did not represent LSU well, particularly after the unsportsmanlike conduct call to get Arkansas out of 4th and 30 or something.
I think you're confusing playing "well" with playing "hard". It didn't look like lack of effort Friday. Lack of thinking definitely happened, as did lack of execution. But it didn't look like lack of effort.
when you throw the brakes on the offense, and go vanilla, Its kinda hard to move the ball on anyone. LSU played to not lose in the 2nd half instead of playing to win. Miles of all people should know this, ask Rick Clausen.
That's what i've been saying for 3 years now. Miles needs to stop being conservative when we have a lead and just continue to pour it on teams.
Well, if taking three or four extra steps, aiming, then kicking at exactly the correct moment shows intent? Then he meant to kick it. I think he would like it back, though. :dis:
Were you watching the same game? Were there 2 teams playing, 1 in Red/White the other Purple/Gold? I could care less why he kicked the ball, but it was not in a celebration mode i'll garuntee you that. he was pissed, his emotions ran too high... IT DOES NOT MATTER WHY he did it, he just did and it gave Arkansas fresh downs and extra yardage... he should've been sat down and held accountable... but that's another reason this team is falling apart, accountability, we're more than likely going to get our asses handed to us by GT in our bowl game. And accountability is the reason. No one has been held accountable for anything this season. They creating stupid penalties and being patted on the back, they blow coverage assigments and they continue to get playing time, they celebrate their mediocre tackleing with high hip bumps in the air... and then the fans and everyone makes excuses for them. He was just celebrating, or maybe the ball just bounced in front of his foot when he was dancing, or maybe the ball just asked him to kick him near Miles so he could get a better look at him. It doesn't matter... these are stupid mental break downs that have ultimately cost us a win against one of the worst SEC teams. Rediculous. We need to start holding these people accountable.
I don't think their run game will be any different then the other teams we've played... but I do think they'll pick our secondary apart all day long like everyone else has.
