They just showed the Miles post game interview on the news... basically exactly as was posted but of course there was real no emotion. He looked a little upset and talked like he was trying to hold back, but he didn't really say anything out of the ordinary from his usual stuff.
I think his only real complaint was about the offense not being able to move the ball from the middle of the 3rd period on, is that correct? There was no displeasure directed at the defense, was there?
Basically just said they weren't going to perform like that again. Nothing too particular about either side of the ball.
LOL, I hope so. You know that look someone gets when their really mad, and their emotional and might /wanna cry... so they tuck that lower lip in and try to talk... making their voice slightly different. That's pretty much the tempo of Miles during the interview when he said, we weren't going to perform like that again... but he was trying to remain emotionless.
In the Advocate online this morning..."Our football team should win that game," LSU coach Les Miles said softly and tersely. "Our football team should manage that game better and play smarter. The drive that was assisted by at least three penalties that allowed our opponent to get three points. It makes you sick." "I told the team that’s the last time. It ain’t happening anymore. Those people that get back on this plane and go back to Baton Rouge are going to work awfully hard. To those seniors and those guys and individuals that busted their tails in that game, it’s sad because that’s one that should have been in the win column." I personally hate the softly and tersely. When my dad talked like that, I knew that the trip home would not be nearly long enough. It was not going to hit the fan...it was going to hit me. Miles has shown a tendency to restrain his anger until it is pushed to far (a-la Herbstreit in Atlanta last year). I agree with LSUFanZone's assessment in his last post after seeing the clip tonight.
I think he means the ones that actually DID what was asked of them. Ummm... Brett Helms? Quinn Johnson? Colt David? Those are really the only three seniors that I think truly pulled their weight.
That's kind of putting it nicely. But I think after watching the interview Miles has had enough. I think right now everyone is sharing time on the potential chopping block. While he didn't get upset during the pc, you could tell he had some emotions building up. I think these kids are going to arrive back home with the Hyde coming out in Miles.
