I tell you what, Tiger fans. I know I'm not usually the most positive person on this message board, but let me say this: After watching Les Miles's press conference today, that is the man I want coaching the LSU Tigers for a long time. With tremendous emotion, he said, "I'm playing football for LSU." Just as if he were one of the young warriors in pads. Maybe this awkwardly timed Lloyd Carr business is a blessing in disguise for LSU. Because if the Tiger players saw what was in their coach's eyes and heard what was in their coach's voice today when he said, "I love this team. And I'll not do anything to hurt it," they are not going to lose again this year.
He said all but one guy, they stood in each others wedding....I believe his last name is Warren??? Anyway, he released a statement....Im trying to dig up the specifics.
From your comments here, does anyone know if this was put on you tube or anywhere so other Tigah fans can see this? Unfortunately I missed it and it sounds like that nothing can describe this other than seeing the video for yourself.
this was not a "coach speak" interview at all... his emotions are legit... and it was clear to see today that the man truly does deep-down love LSU.
That could very well be the inspiration the Tigers needed at this critical juncture of the season to play well, toughing out the last two games before the much needed period of rest and heal.

It looks like he was doing his best to say he was staying here, he's got a lot of heart, but his words weren't perfect. But LSU may have just gotten what we've wanted for a long time, a very good coach WHO WANTS TO BE HERE! I know it ain't over till the fat lady sings, but I was encouraged.
