Might just be that after having offesnsive possession after possession stall out the defense after a few losses (UGA & UoF) decided whats the point and just kinda lost some enthusiasm. Who knows... but since our 2nd loss and a few squeekers... we've played with less intensity of defense.

The defensive slide started long ago: @ Arkansas 2006. How does a team score 26 points when their starting QB only completes 3 passes? That was the first real game where spreading out the defense crippled them.

Any coach that concerns himself with what fans think will soon be looking for a job anyway...

    No it did not.

    LSU Defense:

    2005 #3 Nationally - Total Defense
    2006 #3 Nationally - Total Defense
    2007 #3 Nationally - Total Defense - National Championship

The 2006 Arkansas game @ Little Rock. LSU Won. Arky's QB completed only 5 passes. They scored 26 points because they had not 1 but 2 - 1st round NFL draft picks carrying the football. McFadden was the best RB in the SEC since Bo Jackson.

I really like Miles, I think he is a great guy. Is he a great coach, hmmmm not so sure. Yeah Yeah Yeah, we won a national championship last year but what I've seen this year is disturbing. Look at the top notch programs, they don't have seasons like we had or I should say they don't fall apart and play awful like we have this year (yes I know FLA lost 4 games after their national championship year). Besides the play on the field, one of the tale tails of losing control and lack of discipline is watching our team warm-up. The players are dancing to the stupid music that is being playing on the PA system (now that is another topic for discussion....please STOP THE MUSIC ON THE PA SYSTEM...that is so ACC). Our players are not focusing on the task ahead of them, instead they are dancing like they are undefeated and ranked number 1. For the Ole Miss game, I watched Lafell (and I am not just picking on him) but during warm up he was more interested in dancing to the music and getting people to dance than concentrating on the task at hand. I just think that Miles is a good players coach but he needs to change things or he will lose total control of this team and we will be back in the Mike Archer days. I Love my Tigers and will always pull for my Tigers no matter what. I just don't want to take a step backwards. I've enjoyed these last few years way too much to go backwards. I want my Tigers to stay on top. I know we can't win a national championship every year but damn it I want us to be competitive and have a chance.
