Miles offers Ex-GA quarterback Zach Mettnberger

    Not sure if anyone has heard this or how reliable the source is...

    "Ending speculation about at least one of his future options, former Georgia QB Zach Mettnberger confirmed exclusively for kelinjohnson.com that last night, LSU Head Coach Les Miles called him with an offer for a full ride to LSU…and Miles made a point to tell Zach that he’s going to need a quarterback for the 2011 season. Zach is keeping his options open, but I’m glad to see him on the upswing."

    Don't really know much about the case or his abilities...fill me in

    Well he still doesn't have an official offer but still more and more interest. You won't see much coming from either side though given he has a season to play. All I can really say.

    I guess Mile's confidence in the abilities of Jefferson and Lee are not as strong as he indicates.

    Not really the case. This is a replacement for Garrett and Zach Lee more than anything else. We need Mettenberger to come in and provide a buffer for when JJ and Lee leave and to not rely fully on any freshman QBs.
