    Les doesn't do novel ideas.

    It's not in his makeup.

I think recruiting QB'S from spread type offenses puts you with QB'S that need a lot of development to convert them to pocket passer pro style QB'S. None of Miles OC's have done a good job of developing these running QBs. I know Miles likes the idea of duel threat QB'S that can extend plays and pick up first downs with their legs, but because of lack of development he ends up with no threat QB'S.

He needs to do a much much better job evaluating whether or not these duel threat recruits have what it takes to become pro style QB'S. He also needs to find someone that is better at developing high school talent than the OC'S he has had. If he can't do those two things and he still wants duel threat QB'S, he is going to have to develop an offense that fits their skill set.

I think Cam is staying. I think Miles is going to continue to recruit duel threat QB'S. So what is there left to change that will fix LSU'S offensive and QB problems? Will Miles alter the offense so much that it will fit his QB'S? I'm really not sure that anything is going to be significantly different next season. I believe Miles and Cam will rely on Harris' ability to improve this off season to be the difference in next year's offense. After the aggie game I think that's one hell of a gamble.

How many high school spread offense QB's pass first and then run second? I opine most. In fact, go to a middle school game, and it is almost all running. Not that hard to figure out, or observe.

The effective college (and pro, until lamed) spread guy is just the opposite, throw first and if you have to extend the play, then scat. We just don't seem to understand the difference, and as such, we are 180 degrees from success and getting farther away, with each passing day.

Wait a minute, I thought a throw and a pass was the same thing? LOL.

Sorry, in Eastern NC, throw means run. My bad. I will fix it. Dealling with diverticulitis and meds, struggling!

He didn't say no overhaul at all, he just questioned the semantics of "serious overhaul" given that we have a lot of good players, some of whom have done a pretty good job. It would be stupid not to have an offense where an athlete like Fournette gets a good amount of carries. We're not going to tell him to block while we bring in Mike Leach to throw the ball around.

Yes LSU throws it because you can't run it every play. The LSU motto
