As much as I agree that it maybe Miles who leaves us, and not us who fires him, this is not the right gig. The pay won't be enough to lure Miles away. They can't afford him now. He, despite his oddities, is still a high dollar coach, and until he starts having losing teams will continue to be. It will take a big boy school to lure him away, someone who can pay big boy money.
He won't leave for family obligations because he already enjoys that. He and his coaches already spend Friday night with the family. This is unheard of by most coaches. He doesn't seem like pressure bothers him or he would make adjustments to perform better. His wife says he is pretty even keeled which is why some don't like him.
Yes, but unfortunately some of those loud mouths have very large audiences. Even with that it still doesn't matter to the "Mad Hatter", he has a "damn strong team" on a mission.
Dont count Colorado out from being able to pay big bucks for a coach. They are likely to do it when Hawkins is replaced. Joining the Pac 10 is increasing there income substantially. However, will they pay 4 Mil for a coach, probably not. Will they pay 4 Mil for Les, no way. Les is not going to Colorado unless he is willing to take a pay cut and just wants out of BR. Both reasons would be highly questionable.
Surely you don't really believe that. If he really "knew" that I doubt he would have addressed "them" in his post game comment saying, "They didn't like us much at 5-0..." Whether they're right or wrong, it's much more like the majority and even the analysts have touched on it- our fans' feelings.
The "analysts" are more interested in a big story that meets their "stupid/lucky Mad Hatter" template, and unfortunately Les obliges them when he pulls stuff like the Tennessee ending. If the majority of our fans want him gone that bad they'll stop buying tickets and merchandise.
Wrong. LSU fans and Saints fans are for the most part one in the same. Remember dumb asses putting bags on their heads and going to games...BUT STILL buying tickets and GOING? Try again.
And gas was $1.25 per gallon, not sure what that has to do with the fact that fans bought and attended games. You not hear Joe's announcement about the boo birds? Point is, most fans will still go.
