Yes cause it's poorly written and I hestitated when I did then I said what the hell, dude's a fishing specialist he'll never think twice about structure...oh wait.
He doesn't want to be another Nick and get caught lying. But he clearly wants to hear the Michigan offer. Can't blame him for that.
Salaries are a function of the market. Do you want the best coach we can get, or the best 2 mill coach we can get? Or the best 3 mill coach? Put another way, do you want to keep up with Bama, Fla, Auburn, Arkansas, and coming to your neighborhood soon Miss State(by the way I would like to see us talk to this guy if it comes to that).
As you well know, about about 10 weeks ago the Negatiger contingent was demanding Les be fired. Even players were commenting on the excessive fan negativity. The first half of the season was a terrible reflection on the LSU fanbase. On top of that, the AD has not extended his contract for the past 1-2 years. I hope Les stays, but if he does leave and LSU returns to 90s era mediocrity, we've nobody to blame but ourselves.
I agree with this. The negativity that became so freakin' prominent during the middle of the season was very, very public. When the players had to comment and when some of us fans were happy when we were playing on the road, so we'd be booed less, something unsavory was going on. Maybe Miles' kids were hearing chit non-stop at school and feeling miserable. There are any number of reasons that Miles might leave, not the least of which is getting called home. That's a very strong calling. With that being said, if Miles does leave, I hope we don't return to the 90's mediocrity. I hope that we'll find another good replacement, like we did when Saban exited the building. And this time, I'll hope that the Tiger fans will actually welcome the replacement, as Miles was never really welcomed. All that being said, I really hope he stays.
Great post. Well said. I loved your point about how the players felt the need to get involved; TO DEFEND AN UNDEFEATED COACH - for crying out loud. And I expect the response about everybody does it - but this was a different level. I was ashamed of the booing when it was directed at Jefferson and Lee
