If you've ever watched one of those behind-the-scenes locker-room speeches they sometimes show at the end of "Inside LSU Football", it is. He's concise, direct, passionate, and animated. Definitely not the same person you normally see behind the podium.
I agree. He's an odd character, but that's what makes me think he's perfect for LSU, which is not like other schools.
I got to be a fly on the wall while CLM was recruiting my buddy's son. I'd never realized what a great guy he was prior to that, the man has integrity oozing from his pores. It wasn't Miles that sold him though; it was his first night in Tiger Stadium with the LSU fans.
