    You are wrong.

He also checked away from the pass to an inside run that went nowhere . . . about six times in the first half, until somebody told him to stop it. Jefferson does not read defenses very well, especially a Saban-type defense that is designed to confuse a quarterback about the coverage. Jefferson bit on the deception a lot. But letting Crowton call the audibles using the "meercat" huddle, took the team out of its proper rhythm.

So . . . one of our four or five scholarship quarterbacks must step up to the next level. Two will be juniors, both with extensive game experience. Perhaps our new passing game coordinator can develop a quicker mind and a quicker arm from someone among them. Otherwise we will be another fine team without an effective field general to take us to the next level.

maybe LSU should have looked amongst JUCO QBs or maybe a lower-division QB who wanted to come play big-boy football then? regardless it is up to the coaches to develop and prepare a QB within said player's abilities. you can't try to mold the player to fit another style. how many times have we seen play calls and game plans centered around plays that are obviously out of JJ's comfort/ability zone?

i say spend the offseason trying to look at tape and see what JJ is good at/comfortable with and try to devise some plays to take advantage of it. eliminate everything that he's not comfortable with. simplify things. i think a vanilla offense will be better than NO offense. it's too late to start from scratch with another QB. i think you take the time invested in JJ over the last two seasons to your advantage. maybe billy gonzales will be enough of a hire to put a bug in the coaching staffs' ear that things need to be tailored for JJ and the other players. if shephard isn't a good QB, then you design plays that he can utilize for positive yards. you can't tell me that LSU doesn't have good enough players to design an offense and game plan around. the smaller colleges HAVE to do this to stay competitive. do CLM and staff feel that that is beneath their dignity -- to actually coach-up a player?

JJ is a present day Marcus Randall with the ceiling reached especially with Crowton as OC. If Crowton hasn't figured out how to wrap an offense around him by now, you think he will anytime soon? He is still technically unsound (nose down throws, long wind up, staring down receivers) and still is not making smart decisions (intentional grounding, not stepping up in the pocket, running is atrocious). You tell me we can't run a read option with Shepard and Ridley or Ford and have a more dynamic offense? It has been painful to watch and will be for the next two years. I am concerned that more talent will not be "coached up" and eventually wasted. Why did we recruit a straight drop back passer, Chris Garrett, who would never fit in Crowton's MO? Go figure.. It IS COACHING... or lack thereof.. but hey we are where we are... Go Tigahs!

I'm 6-1 and 230 pounds. I won't get into the distribution of those 230 pounds.

I don't normally try to explain things to idiots, but I'll make an exception. When I joined here,I WAS a Nick Saban Fan. By the time he left LSU, I was fairly well known around here and decided to keep the name because it IS my TF name. Period.

I think "Cliff" is a gay name but I don't necessarily assume you are gay.

I'm a Jr and Clifford was my Dads name that is my story. The fact you have kept Saban for a handle after he bolted for the money is your business.

If the little guy was still at the fins it would be no big deal but now that he is the head coach at Bama I guess that makes you a Bama fan. If you can't figure that out I guess you need to take your apparent IQ to Bama land! I am sure you would fit right in.

I was told to be civil with you or else!! I guess you are the little boy of somebody important here.

Since my world will go on if I can't keep my posting rights I will say that 99% of all Tiger fans would have already changed handles! Unless you got a man love thing going on!!!

I can't believe this thread has been hijacked just because Saban won a MNC at Bama, and people can't handle even seeing his name in someone's TF name. :dis:
