    Myles Brand is dead

NCAA president Myles Brand, 67, loses fight with cancer - Mike DeCourcy, Sporting News - College Basketball - Sporting News

He has made NCAA sports into the money juggernaught it is today, but he was also spearheaded the movement that resulted in the BCS, and it arguable that penalties have never been as soft as it has been during his tenure.

This will have wide ranging impact on all of college sports, and the SEC in particular, as Mike Slive has long been the favorite to replace him.

Does that mean there is a chance that SEC officiating might improve? :)

Does that mean we can have a playoff system in D1 football now?
