I see a trend. :milesmic: I think it's fair to say that if you "micro-analyze" Saban's career here at LSU, you can find plenty of mistakes and disheartening losses. At the end of the day, you are judged by W-Ls. You can certainly debate everything else, but that becomes noise then. I'd debate you actually should be, if you're going to be debating criteria that matter for a college coach, considering graduation rates, financial success of your program (i.e., ticket sales, fundraising, etc.), overall happiness of the players/coaches there, respect of your program by the peers. I think we often forget what kind of "program" Nick ran, despite his success. Miles certainly has had his mistakes too, but you take the intangibles above and the W-L record, and I just don't see how folks can be criticizing too harshly.
really, for real, are you serious. well why stop there how about if we just have the whole all american team at LSU. we have JJ and JL not tebow. thats just stupid. lets keep things within reason not some fairy tale nonsense
yea you right i like that. i'm with you on that one. i don't talk about saban thats old stuff. he's been gone a long time lets get over it and focus on now and the future
What I want to know from all of the Miles critics, who think he should be fired, who besides Saban, do they think would do a better job at LSU? This is not to say that Miles is above being criticized. Considering some have pretty much made the argument that every coach of every power house team has issues that are unexcusable and they wouldn't want them as a head coach.
You miss the point completely. And its the reason no one has responded all day. They don't know who can come in and do better. Most of the people that want Miles gone, and see over 16 years old, only want hik gone because of what happened in the past: 1. They never wanted Saban to leave. 2. They feel like Miles came in without proving himself and no one was consulted. Its like, when you're young, and your parents divorce and then one of them remarries. Ignoring the win/loss record just proves that most were already against Miles, no matter what.
Oh, I get it, sorry I'm a bit slow, but I thought I had posed a question that none of them could answer because, none of them really had a clue who they would replace him with. Instead they would just rather get rid of him and see who comes running to take his place. This time of course the AD will call all of them up and ask permission on the new hire.
