which means he will still be there when we need him. I just don't see miles being here long term. Call me crazy, and no im not hoping miles leaves or gets fired.

I worry about this too. If he stays for next year, it will be the longest run we've gotten out of a coach for awhile. Good news is that he's established himself in the community, he's paid well, and he's won a :crystal: here.

Bama committed more penalties than LSU did this year. So much for lack of discipline.

You're wrong. We were competive without a seasoned QB this year and lack of a running game. Another spring and JJ will put the fear back into the rest of SEC. You will also see a running game that Complements the passing game. You better hope we can keep Miles at LSU.

Miles ain't going nowhere unless either LSU stiffs him on a contract extension or the boosters have had enough and show him the door. He's one of the most highly paid coaches in the nation and has a distinct recruiting advantage in Louisiana where he doesn't have to worry seriously about losing top kids to other in-state schools. Where would he go that could possibly place him in a better position? The Michigan ship has sailed on Les as far as both he and Michigan appear to be concerned.

As for Patterson, if LSU is too cheap to get rid of two assistants who are clearly in over their heads, what makes you think we're going to pony up a big chunk of his buyout on a $2.5 M/yr. salary through the next 6 years?

To those who are disgruntled with CLM, be careful what you wish for - DAMN careful. Right now you've got a good coach that wins 9 or 10 games a year and wins bowl games. That's an excellent benchmark for any program. But if CLM's departure is what you want, just remember - the next Bill Callahan may be right around the corner.

Les Miles is the right guy. From an outsider looking in's perspective, you have a young, but talented team. Next year will be the year CLM returns LSU to the SEC CG- and just may win it!

You're wasting your key strokes, my friend. Those on this board that are disgruntled with Miles won't be satisfied until another:crystal: comes by. Sorry about last Saturday, by the way. Ya'll played a good game. How do ya'll like BO up there?

Last Saturday was a heartbreaker, and I hate losing games like we did (especially to the 'whorns), but it was great to see the Huskers play with passion again, which was something we never had with Clownahan. We love Bo up here! He has us playing good, physical football which, again, is something we never had with that afore-mentioned asshat. We would just like to see Bo spend a little more time working with the offense.
