Well, I'm sticking with JJ. JJ got skills not many QB's have. He can leg it and when he gets wound up he's hard to catch. Crowton tried to make a pocket passer out of him. He would stand in the pocket for 7,8,9 seconds till finally the rush would get to him. I see changes coming with CSK. He is calm and collected under fire and has 2 years starting exp. Yank him and you might have a team problem. I'm glad to see CLM supporting him. This makes about the 9000th gottdam thread bashing JJ. You can't read or hear anything about LSU without JJ being bashed. That has to work on his mind, but he keeps it mostly under wraps. So, you got 2 supporters JJ. One that don't matter and one that really does. GO JJ!!!
I agree with this. JJ has all the physical tools and the experience; he just needs someone who knows what they're doing directing him, and it appears as though he may have that now. I did notice mechanical improvements during the spring game, and he appears to be nearly a full step faster than he has been before. We don't need JJ to be a Heisman candidate for this team to be special. We just need him to be consistent.
No kidding. When will the fans realize that JJ is our QB and quit bitching about him? The constant carping about our QB and our coach have given us a national reputation for being a bunch of spoiled brats. 99% of the programs out there would kill to be where we are. I'm starting to agree with some of the USL fans about us.
Just showing why there may have been fewer TD passes in his Junior year. I'm not saying JJ is more qualified than Mett. I'm saying Mett has never QBd a team in an SEC game. Despite Red's being impressed with his HS and JC performances, that's not the SEC.
And how many of the teams he beat had SEC defenses? You're proving that he's got talent, not that he's ready to be thrown to the SEC wolves. Haven't we learned that lesson yet?
