Thank you so much for this link. I watched the entire press conference. How great was the final few seconds when the camera pulls back and the table is full of trophies?? :crystal: Reading many of the articles that others have linked this season about the team and about Coach Miles, I think you really do see a picture of a man who is possibly the rarest of things: a man of his word. As a school, as alums and as a state, we are freaking lucky to have this guy as our coach. :geauxtige
All the press conferences from the past week at the bowl – written, audio, or video: http://sugarbowlmedia.org/site169.php The videos are all in quicktime and are pretty large…
If you care about LSU football, you have to spend 45 min. and watch the whole press conference. It's as good as the game. Miles is a prince of a guy, great heart and emotion he brings to the job. He knows how to appreciate things at a basic human level. When people show him kindness, like the people of La. have, it MEANS a great deal to him. It means so much to him that he stayed at LSU rather than return to his home state and alma mater. I don't mean this to be a rag, but this attitude is very different than a certain ex head coach of ours. If you watch that and are not ON THE MILES WAGON now, then you should go find a different college football team to root for. He's our coach, we wanted him to stay, and he wanted to stay! That's what we've wanted for a long time. We've got it. Let's support it, let's enjoy it!!! :geaux:
I remember he appreciated it when the student section sang "happy birthday" to him after the LA Tech game. He admitted something to the effect that that had never happened to him before.
Coach Miles is no longer in Bo's shadow. He is his own man. Here that Gundy? He's 54 and he's a MAN! :milesmic:
