Ive always thought MS was a good coach.....2 Super Bowls. But last night he was an idiot. I don't follow the Broncos, so he might have been an idiot all along, I don't know.

At the end of the half last night, the Titans attempted a 56 yd FG and missed. But MS called one of them last-second TO before the kick, so Tenn. got another chance. You guessed it, he made the FG. Why would you want to try an ice a kicker attempting a 56 YD FG at the end of the first half. I could understand it if it was at the end of the game, but Den had a 10 pt lead. Plus it was a 56 yarder, the odds of him making it were slim anyway.

Then, an even dumber move, in the second half deep in Denver territory, VY runs in an apparent TD but the stupid officials call him out of bounds at the one. Tenn then runs another play without challenging the call, but yet again Denver calls a TO before the play in which Tenn was stopped on 3rd down. You guessed it again, Tenn then challenges the play and it was reversed to a TD.

That's 10 points that Denver gave up cause they called 2 TO. Denver did win the game, but how stupid was that. That's something the Aints would do. Pull that crap in the playoffs, IF they make it, and their done.

Shanahan is as good of a X's & O's coach as there is. Last night was not one of his better game management decision making games as you pointed out.

In addition to being the head coach, he's also basically in charge of all football related operations. That's his shortcoming. I give him a D- in player evaluation both in the draft and free agent signings.

John Elway and Terrell Davis probably contributed more to the two SB wins than Shanahan.

I've been watching the Broncos since 1972.

Well, you can't bring the timeouts with you. Might as well use them. He just so happened to get burned on that one. I've been waiting for it to cost somebody.

In his defense, it was a middle linebacker that called that one, not MS.

Actually, I didn't even realize it was you that posted that one.
I'm glad he got burned on it. I wish it would happen more often actually. Best case, would be to have the first one get blocked, with nothing but green infront of the guy who recovers it.
Just sayig, why wouldn't you take on in that situation?

If that's the best you can come up with on the field, he's among the top 3 coaches in the league.

Player evaluation is the responsibility of the GM as well, and even with the best, it's hit or miss sometimes.

first, cause it was in the first half. But mainly because it was a 56 yarder. The odds of him making it are against him to begin with. If he wanted the TO, do it before he gets a chance at it.

I hate that coaches are doing it like this now, and agree it shouldn't happen. But if you're gonna slam him, you gotta slam the majority of coaches in the NFL and college. He just so happened to be the guy that got burned on Nat TV. It was bound to happen sooner or later though.

Calling a coach an idiot for something that has proven to be very successful so far is kind of weird to me. Not to mention he has won multiple Super Bowls. And I hate the Broncos.
