He has a top 5 for each position: DE Jackson #1 OG - Johnson #3 MLB - Beckwith #3 S - Taylor #3 Helms was not listed in his top 5 senior centers. I did not see the list of kickers. I would hope David is on there.
never heard of mayock, is he credible? Taylor 3rd best safety in the draft? Beckwith 3rd best linebacker in the draft?
I'd even say I was a bit surprised to see either Beckwith or Taylor in his top 5 seniors. They both had some very disappointing senior campaigns and their stock went down from where it was coming into their senior season.
Maybe the draft for the armed forces maybe, but not the NFL. I'm not sure what games this guy was watching. Maybe it's just a really bad year for the draft. I'm not trying to insult our players, but I didn't see anybody this year that was THAT awesome (top 3 at their position).
It took some time for me to warm up to Mayock. He's a loudmouth and not afraid to take positions that other people are not taking. After watching him a couple seasons, it's very obvious that he knows what he's talking about. I think he was the first guy to call Dorsey and Sed Ellis, 1a and 1b of DT's in last year's draft. For those of you who can't get the NFL Network, NFL.com runs the NFL Combine live on their website since last year. Every minute is shown live and the archived to watch later if you choose. It's frickin' awesome for what used to be a clandestine event. Now we have the beginnings of a database of the drills athlete's run.
