There is no defending this play call. I am just as upset at the players as i am the coach's though. At some point the have to make an int thrown right to them. And they have to catch balls that hit them right in the hands. And they cant just throw the ball up for grabs like Jeferson did numerous times. This was a total team failure. Some players make plays. Our players dont make game winning plays this year. Lack of leadership or charachter or skills i dont know but our players are undisciplined for whatever reason.
I think you're confusing 35 seconds with 5 seconds. 35 seconds is a lifetime on the football field. Which is exactly what they were doing when the Penn State player was laying on the ball and Hitt drew the penalty for pulling him off the ball. All this time was wasted standing around after that ridiculous penalty, probably because no one knew what the hell to do with a 15 yard loss. Also, did it seem like the clock ran the entire time, even when they were marking off the penalty?
