A few threads from the last few weeks: We are going into week 4 of the season. About a third of the way through. Do people realize where the term "Mid Season Form" comes from and what it means?
LSU must be in mid-season form on Saturday, October 3 in Athens, Georgia followed by FLorida in Tiger Stadium.
That assumes Georgia and Florida will be in mid season form. See, that's where fans get a little jumpy. They always assume we suck and everyone else is gangbusters.
I think and this is just my opinion that we are missing a few key points. 1. I think LSU (and most teams) are notorious for playing to their competition. See all around the league. USC, OU lost to BYU, etc. I am confident this team is going to compete come the big games. We may not win them all but they will fight and play well. 2. Also watching ESPN today and I realized how spoiled we are as LSU fans. Nick Saban Bama's savior is 4-6 in bowl games they won nothing last year and the Bama faithful want to build him a statue, OU is what 1-5 in BCS games (Something like that), UT has had ONE undefeated season in 39 years. Look at what LSU has accomplished over the last 10 years. No team aside from maybe Florida rivals it. USC maybe but they only have one National Championship to our two. I think everyone should relax a bit, celebrate the fact we are 3-0 regardless of how they won, and enjoy wearing the Purple and Gold, this is an elite team 99% of the college football nation wishes they had the success we got to enjoy as LSU fans, sure we had a down year, but who doesnt. I think the next 3-4 years of LSU football will be magical. I dont expect a win every game but this team is solid. There how is that for some sunshine pumping
i stay away from the forum during the games, especially last week. I was on my 3rd glass of JW Black by halftime.
