His staff is starting to move along...caught a tweet a little earlier about Geoff Collins joining Mac in Gainesville.
There's only one guy committed from Florida and that's a defensive back. There was a verbal a week or so ago from a guy projected as a tackle but he was a northern guy. I don't think that "trade" is an even one considering there's a 50-60 lbs difference between the two. Never can tell with offensive linemen and development though...
Didnt catch that who was it[/QUOTE] https://rivals.yahoo.com/footballre...rown-143284;_ylt=AvF8GGjH18gQdQG_LjMkGBFDPZB4 "I'm very happy with my decision to commit to LSU," Brown stated. "A big part of my decision is definitely Coach (Jeff) Grimes, and we've known each other for a while now. I started talking to him when he was at Virginia Tech, and I really liked him, but I couldn't see myself at Virginia Tech, even though my brother played there." "Having him now at LSU played a big part in my decision," he added. "He's a great coach, and he's coached a lot of freshman All-Americans before. They expect me to play next year, and they've told me I won't be redshirting. There was no reason for me to wait and see who the new Florida staff would be. I have found what I want in LSU." Brown has a connection to the Tiger staff already, with his cousin Spencer Warehaving played at LSU. In addition, former Tiger Sam Montgomery is a long time family friend. They both spoke positively about LSU head coach Les Miles. "Spencer and Sam both spoke so well about the program, and they both told me it's a great place for me," he explained. "They said this staff will develop me, and prepare me for the NFL one day. Everyone I've talked to loves Coach Miles." "I see Coach Miles as a great coach, and a person I can sit down and speak to about anything," he continued. "The LSU players I spoke to this weekend were all so positive about him, and the atmosphere around the program is great. They said it's very hard here and I have to be ready to go to work, but it's all worth it." Even though was prepared to take his official visit to Florida once they named their new coach, Brown indicated that visit will not be taking place. "I will not be taking that visit Florida," Brown stated emphatically. "This is it for me, ad my recruitment is over. I will be back here at LSU at some point before I enroll next June. I feel really good about my decision."
He was a verbal to Fla, when Muschamp was let go, Grimes went back at him. He was the first OL Grimes offered when he took the LSU job. I've seen some of his Jr high school tape. His high school coach... http://recruiting.scout.com/story/1491854-who-is-george-brown-jr
