Well not really, it's common now. I'm surprised when you actually do have something to say, and actually say it.
Longtime NFL personnel man Gil Brandt tweeted that Duke coach David Cutcliffe was offered the UM job and turned it down. Meanwhile ESPN reporter Chris Mortensen responded saying he spoke to Cutcliffe and Cutcliffe has not talked to Michigan, nor has Duke athletic director Kevin White or even a third party, through a search firm. If that wasn’t enough to get the Michiganders going, sources continue to indicate mutual interest between LSU Coach Les Miles and his alma mater. However, we’re told there’s a disconnect between what Miles would require for staff salaries and what Michigan would like to pay. http://footballrumormill.com/2014/12/is-michigan-waiting-on-harbough/
Mich is known to be tight with the cash. They will pay for a head coach and try an save on the assts. Always have. One head coach I know put in his contract, that for every game over 8 wins he and the assts. got a bonus. 9 games, 10, etc. Also a bonus for the Championship game and bowl games. The coach said it was easy to add to his contract, cause the higher ups didn't think they would be able to win like they have done.
so the only thing keeping les from ann arbor is money? i think an alum recently gave them 100 mill. les may actually leave afterall? this would be an odd finish to the season.
