He was also "guest captain" for a game earlier this year. I knew he played here, but remember the other stuff from his introduction that night.
I do not know which thread to bury this in. I originally put it in "Mile's new contract," but moved it here. I am sorry for the double post. This is a quote from the today’s article on the Miles press conference in the Advocate: http://www.2theadvocate.com/sports/lsu/featured/11634011.html?showAll=y&c=y This is a quote from a Sunday article in The Detroit News: The article is "no longer on line for free," but here is the link. http://www.detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20071118/SP Based on the above, IMHO, Les Miles will go to Michigan IF asked. Based on his other statements, I believe, IF asked, he will not commit to UM until either LSU wins or loses the NC. (Note: A loss to Arkansas or the SECCG would lose the chance to compete for the NC and maybe even a BCS bowl berth. Whether or not he would accept earlier in such a circumstance is another matter.) MAYBE he won't be asked because either they want someone else and/or they do not want until January to pick a new coach. Thoughts?
I think you would be calling Chris Peterson an "LSU" man in 3 seasons.:geaux: :geaux: :geaux: He'll be somebodies "man" real soon.
I'm not against him at all...and I have no doubt LSU will find the right man IF need be. But I just think there's enough of a chance we keep Les...and that's what I personally would like to see.:thumb:
