Yeap, the is a good coach. He can rehabilitate his reputation at LSU or Bama.

I don't want him back unless he signs a 10 yr contract with a 10 mil buyout and he's not the highest paid coach in the NCAA. If he wants to come back he should take less money to do it. The deal should be back loaded with lots of incentives. We would then know if his heart is really here or he is just wanting to come back because of the talent.

I still don't think he's that great of a coach but he could win championships here.

He was taking this time to recruit while LSU was focused on the SECCG.

    He was all over Louisiana.

Here's the deal. Saban's a good coach. LSU is a virtual monopoly for recruiting in Louisiana. A good coach will do great here, an average coach will do good here. LSU does not need a Big name to be successful here. That being said, I'm open to whatever though I may be a minority there....

BTW this thread will be moved like the 38 others on this topic.:)

I'd consider it, but he probably wouldn't be the first on my list and like Off-shore said, special stipulations might be a major sticking point.

Saban is a good recruiter and DC; but he is a difficult person for assistants to work with ,and takes certain type of players to buy into his ways. I think there are other good choices out there.

Nope, I don't. He had his chance to stay here and he made the decision not to. The fact that he would even consider coming back (not that I believe he is) tells me he's already giving up at Bama after only one season. I don't want a quitter as a HC. Have a nice life, thanks for the crystal football.

Fool me once, shame on you.. Fool me twice, shame on me.
