No, you aren't wrong. He HAS been there for about 7 years. But he was at Old Mess before then, and RIGHT before he bolted for AU, he was quoted as saying when asked about the possibility of leaving Old Mess..."In a pine box". He left about two days later. Just saying, this would be his third SEC West job in the past decade...although he has been at AU for a while. But with the "pine box" comment, he is not to be trusted anymore than Saban is.:thumb:

I don't think there's any way that Miles will coach us in our bowl game. I hope we learned our lesson in letting Saban coach the Capital One Bowl.

He probably said he "plans to be with" them for the bowl game or something along those lines. And that's probably what he'd like to do, as I do think he loves this team. But he won't be coaching here after he accepts the Michigan job, not if anyone at in any LSU administrative building has half a brain.

Re: Saban open to talks with LSU

Would you welcome Saban back if he agreed to a longterm contract with a cut in pay and a huge buyout?

I can understand why comprehending what Les said would be open for interpretation.

I've heard comments at halftime and said

Re: Coach Miles tells recruit he's staying at LSU

I realize that coaches get exuberant about recruiting but it's tough for me even as an outsider to see so many questioning CLM when last year, most on here were loudly singing his praises in terms of character. While I don't think he's an angel I did want to point something out in his defense.

Last year, Joe McKnight was arguably the most sought after recruit and for sure USC and LSU went toe to toe. I know for a fact that several coaches used negative recruiting tactics with him and used the "PC is going to the NFL" thing more than any other line. However in an online chat, when asked specifically about CLM, JM said he never heard anything negative about USC. I admit I was surprised but it stuck in my mind and perhaps he deserves some consideration in that aspect.

    Just my 2.
