Re: Saban open to talks with LSU

Saw on Tidefans that there is a email circulating requesting all Bama fans to boycott WJOX until they take DelGreco off the air.:hihi:

All good points, and yes the SECCG is only hours away, just trying to fill that void. Didn't mean to ruffle any feathers.

we're ruffling the right feathers....no worries here

Auburn in meltdown mode, Bama in meltdown mode, Arkansas in meltdown mode, what more could we ask for?

LSU will beat Tennessee this weekend and they will be in meltdown mode as well. Should be fun.

I'll go ahead and post this link. Although I find this site has some serious issues this was a goods read. If true then Miles is a douchebag for doing this right before the SECCG and throwing his players under the bus. If it's a rumor and nothing more then so be it. I guess we'll see.

Re: A great blog pertaining to Les Miles(overall evaluation)

I think it should be mandatory that before anyone can bash Miles this article be required reading and the basher explain why Miles is messing up such a sure thing since he has so much more talent than anyone else.

Certainly, there is room to criticize Miles, as there is with any coach, but to say that he has all this incredible talent, which Saban left him, and that he just doesn't know what to do with it is patently false.

It has been my experience, however, that whenever empirical evidence is provided, the Miles bashers simply ignore it and don't even respond, except to continue with their bashing.:geaux:

Re: A great blog pertaining to Les Miles(overall evaluation)

The best analysis I've read yet. I've always thought the whole "Miles is winning with Saban's geat talent" was a media creation. I absolutely hate the media. They are a bunch of clowns at a circus competing for people's attention. Les Miles was put in an impossible situation and did a way above average job at LSU the past 3 years. Any criticism he receives is because he's an old style football coach cut from the UM tradition. Yes, LSU has talent but how many Heisman candidates has LSU had visit NY since Saban turned our program around compared to USC? JR was a great QB who ended up being a #1 pick of the NFL. Now compare JR to Tim Tebow. Get my point? Our ability to be media darlings this year is purely laid at the feet of good recruiting and CLM's ability to assemble an all new coaching staff off the heels of Nick Saban's National Championship which barely happen in the BCS rankings. And having 2 dominating bowl games back to back did not hurt anything. The stark reality for LSU is it needs a top notch coach and then some luck to make it out of the SEC healthy with some BCS luck.
