Re: Saban really coming back to LSU?

As unlikely as I think this actually is, it actually wouldn't shock me that much, to be honest. Last year, who thought he was going to Alabama? Now, I do think he'd lose a lot of credibility, and other coaches would use that against him in recruiting. But, I've said that if he stayed in Miami one more year, we would be dang near begging to have him back considering that Les will most likely leave to go to Michigan. For the record, I hope Les doesn't go, as I'll take a coach who wins 10 games every season. Not too shabby. :milesmic:

If Saban came up, and admitted that he made a mistake when he left LSU and wanted to be the coach here again, there would be some arguing and fussing, but most people would burn/throw away their anti-Nick gear for the next year. In various threads, people have yearned for a coach that will be synonymous with LSU much like Bowden and Paterno are with their schools. If he did come back, you've got a guy who has a National Championship trophy, who has hopefully learned a bit of humility and can admit his mistakes, and would be your LSU man.

Now, if the rumors of his wife are true, instead of "Momma called", he could always say "Momma wanted her house back" at the press conference.

I've heard this name mentioned a few times now, and have no clue why? 2 years as a QB coach with no QB, and 12 games as an OC. Do you really want our next coach to have this short of a resume?
