This season that may be true, but sometimes teams get hot late season, but early season losses hurt their ranking and they don’t make it. I think 8 teams gives ample opportunity and allows for a Cinderella, something that’s missing from the current format that rewards the teams with most money and 5*s. Agree with you about this year. It’s you guys, and Clemson pulling up the rear in a 2 horse race.

You're getting as bad as CO2 with your regurgitation.

You can criticize their thinking but it has them dominating us in the last decade, essentially. So go ahead and laugh cause only a fool would laugh at what they've achieved, fool.

Talk to Nick....he doesn't share your point of view.

“Based on the teams that we’ve played this year, I think this team deserves to be in the playoff as well,” Saban said. “I sure as hell don’t want to play them again, but that’s the best compliment I can give you or give them.”

Saban reflected back six years ago, too, back when Alabama beat a Mark Richt-coached Georgia team 32-28 in the SEC Championship game en route to a 42-14 beatdown over Notre Dame in the national title game.

“We played in a game here where we won 32-28, when we played Notre Dame in a National Championship Game,” Saban said, “and Georgia was the best team.”

2-time match-ups within a season often go 50-50 and Bama has reaped that benefit. Were you arguing against Bama getting in in 2011?

So obtuse... Trust me, their thinking has dominated no one in the last decade. Case in point, listen to Quinnen Williams talk.

If you don't thin 10 of the last 12 is dominance it shows who's obtuse.

As for Quinnen, he was wise to catch himself before dropping it. He's been schooled in that part of their thinking too.

Still obtuse, thinking has nothing to do with winning. Pushing the limits of whats allowed without getting USCd is their secret to success.

Quinnen just pawn in game of life.

Terry I wonder if you feel this way when Bama would have been left out for not winning the west twice and playing in NC. If they didn't you would be less 2 of the NC.

Saban at LSU win your Conference or your shouldn't make it . Saban at Bama it should be the 2 best teams. His opinion changes when it effects his team.

You playing in your conference championship should matter cause if you don't win your division and have to play the extra game then you shouldn't make it.

The 4 best teams are not chosen in the playoff. So why do the Bama and Notre Dames get special treatment.

Make the rules apply to everyone.

If you go to An 8 team playoff you are going to get at least the best 5 teams for sure.

If you don't win your conference that should matter no matter what your record is in the playoff system as now constituted.

This is why I say make ND join a conference or make it 8 so there is discretion when you don't win your division of your conference and then you should still have a chance. Or is it just Bama that should have that right.

Don’t see why you even bother with the biggest blind homer in the history of message boards.

    Twist, eh?

We've seen 10 semi final games in the playoff era. Eight of the ten have been wins by double digits. Seven of the ten have been two scores or more. Half of the games have seen a 20+ point margin in victory.

But, let's add teams that aren't as good in the mix because that makes the playoffs better? History says no. In fact, it's arguable that what's needed is contraction versus expansion.

We in the middle of watching one of the teams that would have been included in the playoffs if we were at eight. This UCF team being included in the playoffs is going to improve the post season though, right? How?
