Do you need any more proof that she's a buffoon? Does she even totally understand what drives gas prices? If so, she'd be the only person in the world. I guess she'll be able to set OPEC's production levels and will global demand to necessary levels. What a joke.

God help us if our choice is between Obama and Bachmann. But I don't think that will be a problem.

 

Next thing you know she'll be promising unemployment under 8%, closing Guantanamo and affordable health care.

 

God will tell her, (through her husband) on how to accomplish this.

lasalle, are you not the the guy who claimed that the job of the government was to make sure the prices for the basics are low? isnt this exasctly what you think is the role of government? i mean obviously you are crushingly wrong and your type of thinking causes misery for billions, but isnt this your philosophy?

 

I believe $2. 00 gas would get my vote.

 

If she were to
1) open all federal waters in America to drilling
2) streamline all permits so that there is no wait
3) open all federal lands( except parks like yellowstone) to drilling
4) give a moratorium on payroll taxes to companies that drill for new wells
5) mandate that in exchange for leases oil companies do not sit on the oil
6) allow a dozen new refineries to be built near the new leases to quickly bring the product to market
7) make for every barrel that is produced in America tax free if it reduces imports from the middle east. This would promote American oil
8) make it to where enviromental lawsuits could not stop drilling because domostic oil production is a matter of national security.

This would be a manhattan style/ appolo style project to secure American oil independence to it's fullest.
With something like this gas prices would go down.

 

Which is exactly what is liable to get her elected. The populous is grossly under educated and will eat stuff like this by the truck loads. Of course bachmann doesn't really care, as long as she gets elected.
