Did anyone see Irvin comment on the Miami brawl last week? One of his comments that stuck with me was when he said that the radio announcer, former U player, deserved to get fired for his actions calling the game. Of all the people in the world to say someone needs to be fired for their actions. That's like Pete Rose going to a gamblers anonymous meeting and criticizing the people in that meeting. How Irvin still has a job with ESPN after all the crap he's done is beyond me. It's not like he's a great announcer that they can't afford to lose. He's a joke.
Agreed, even if he had no bagage (assuming he wan't holding said bagage for a friend), he just isn't good IMHO>
Yea, I thought that was funny too. Lamar Thomas seemed genuinely bothered by Irvin's comments too, as he said he went to Miami because of Irvin. Irvin's very hit or miss, and completely over the top, in true ESPN form. As long as he keeps getting crazier, they'll keep him on the air -- they seem to think that's what we want to see.
