Ridley did not cause this... horrible offense caused this... but he was trying to pad his stats.

It was horrible in the first half and god awful in the second half.

How do you pad 14 for 53 stats? That's less than 4 ypc against a D-line devastated by the scandal.

Ridley fumbled twice. Inexcusable. And after listening to Miles' comments in the post-game show, I think we see Ford against Vandy. He's pissed.

However, Ridley was one or two penalties away from a 100 yard rushing game.

Not exactly, you are getting way ahead of yourself.

Blue brings something different to the table outside of Ridley, Murphy, and Ford. Blue has arguably the best hands out of the bunch and gets to the outside in a hurry. A RB with slot abilities. Ford is right there but beaten out by Ridley and Murphy and Ford was likely going to get carriers late in the game had we put ourselves in a bigger cushion. As I stated above Ridley stated he is right there but had a lackluster week headed into the game and I believe he also had some fumbles in practice.

So if I was the coach and I had to pick one RB to get me the first down and put the game in the bag, I would also pick Ridley who was gaining the tough yards and why risk it with a RB who hasn't played in a game yet. Pretty easy answer.

Think he meant "senior" as in relative to the underclassman.

well, Murphy is a senior relative to ridley and sheppard.
Murphy only got 2 carries, but that goes against islstl's argument, so he won't mention it.

Sounds like what was said about Shepard last year.

Maybe we don't see Ford this season.

I doubt it, Miles is already saying Ford will get time because of the fumbles.

I did say the same about Shep last year and the reason why we saw him want the transition to WR. Wasn't clicking fast enough.

Miles definitely said on the radio, "We're going to find someone with some focus." Lineup changes are going to be made, I suspect.

Ridley is the least of our problems. He played pretty well tonight and I actually like him as the feature back. He's very shifty and runs hard, like a more athletic version of Jacob Hester. Of course, he will have to work on ball security but that is correctable and I think we'll be okay with Ridley starting and whoever backing him up
