Just have no earthly idea why Ware was even on the field on the last possession LSU had in regulation when we were near midfield.

    Anyone have an idea?

Ford would have run for 150 yards tonight had we would have ridden him like we should have.

Yeah that option from JJ was unstoppable all night.

But, dude, HOW DO YOU NOW STAY IN BOUNDS ON THAT OVERTIME RUN????

Other than that he was a huge difference maker for the offense tonight!

Maybe Ford just needed a break? I dunno, guess they wanted to give Spencer a chance.
Surprised though, I don't think Blue ever got into the game? I don't remember seeing him?

The power running game was not effective at all against Bama's big, physical D. But the speed option was. They couldn't stop Ford on the edges.

It was a good adjustment by the coaches to notice that and utilize it.

and it was a god awful decision to sit them for long periods of time only to see Ware run it for 1 yard gains and stop drives

Ford is averaging 5.6 yards per carry on the season. IMO, he is our most productive running back. I am obviously a fan of Ware, Blue, Hilliard, etc also, but I would be in favor of Ford getting more carries. Ford is particularly good at getting outside, which was what we needed tonite.

I agree to a point, but tonight Ware's average on early downs sucked too. I think Ware should be more of a short yardage back, whereas Ford might be better as the featured back. Hopefully, he'll get more of a chance after tonight's performance. Ford, IMO, has got the better vision and adequate power, whereas Ware is trying to run everybody over.

Ware will be back. That was just a defense that CANNOT be run on up the middle. A great NT and 2 future NFL #1 draft choices at MLB possibly. That's too much talent to overcome and they showed it last night with stopping Ware. Disappointing we tried Ware 16 times and Ford only 11. Should have been the other way around.
