Not to long ago Tiger Bait.com was indicating Abernathy was strongly favoring LSU. Now Mike Scarborough is inclined to believe he is a long shot for the Tigers. Anyone know what's going on with Abernathy?
My theory: A completely unheard of (to us) recruit comes out of nowhere with an astonishingly good set of videos and some very kind words to say about LSU. Everyone gets excited and thinks, "He's a dead cinch lock to us." Then, people start finding out more about him. For instance, his grades are terrible and his work ethic is legendarily bad. All of a sudden, people start asking, "Do we really want this guy?" Mike calls his contacts and finds out that he does not have a committable offer and/or is likely to be a sign and place.
In his last update he said LSU is "still on top" but that he wants to take some visits to see what's out there.
