I went to the Briarwood-Russellville game a few weeks ago and Abernathy looked terrible. Briarwood stuffed him all night and he was showing his azz too. The kid looks like a football beast. His body is incredible but the guy I was sitting with said it best...look like tarzan, play like jane and acts like cheeta.
This post came at a time when I was trying to find out about Abernathy. At one time he had been a strong lean to LSU, but I was concerned we might have lost serious ground to Bama. There really has not been much coming out on him. I checked Rivals today and found nothing new on him. Thanks much for the post. What is your source?
Not sure if you are talking to me but Rivals.com reps in Mobile reported this. The kid is a player if he can get his stuff together. Not much is known about schools of interest because some become and interested and cool of just as quick on the guy, so not much is really known. But he is a top 100 player.
Bama doesn't have the luxury of bringing in "projects." I used to work with a guy that was the absolute best "sidewalk recruiting analyst" and he was never wrong about anyone that he told me about. Unfortunately we were both downsized in a company reorganization back in June and I have since lost touch with him.
