whats up, brotha! well, i think it was this number, but i cant remember anything in my old age now...
I remember Saban's last season as it was the first I held season tickets. I remember a quarterback controversy where the coach wasn't playing the QB everyone wanted to see. I remember being blown out at Georgia. I remember an almost loss to a bad Oregon State team that missed 5 or 6 field goals. I actually left before JR came in and won it at the end. I remember a loss on the road to Auburn where the QB switch was made after a TD drive and the offense went to crap. I remember needing a miracle to beat a Zook coached team on the road. I remember fans in the NEZ calling for Saban to be fired during the Troy game where some cat named Demarcus Ware was absolutely dominating Andrew Whitworth and we barely held on to win 24-20 because we couldn't do anything on offense.
Well, since you've been gone the old site got hijacked by a bunch of Nazi folks that lived in a barn. No shit. Either tiga or grad had something to do with it but not sure how.
Saban produced exactly one great season in his five years at LSU (2003). 2001 was awesome and fun, but we'll all be dead before another team wins the SEC West with three conference losses. Three conference losses drives people insane today. It was still a really fun five years because it was so much better than what came before. But yeah, he's awesome at his new spot. Good on him. *To get ahead of the backlash, I believe that LSU needs a new head coach after this season. Someone young.
This is what I'm always trying to explain to Bama fans, but to no avail. This insidious comparing coach Saban to coach Bryant is ridiculous. It comes from the now generation who will always be prisoners of the moment. Truth is the resumes are not close and everything he has accomplished has been basically 2 seasons at LSU, where he actually won at least 10 games, and what has been accomplished at Alabama in 9 seasons.
It was a 3. Women have memories like....well....elephants, lol. Really great to see you post. Still a Laker fan?
