Loved my time in Alaska and now love cold weather. Learned to snow ski in 1968 and still snow ski a month a year today. The fishing was fabulous but the bugs in Alaska make the bugs in Louisiana look silly.

I learned to ski when I got to CO in 1972. Only skied for a couple of years. It was too hard on the knees.
Late in my AF career I spent a lot of TDY time in Alaska. At Clear AFS north of Fairbanks and at Shemya at the end of the Aleutians.

Leadville is an interesting place was stuck in the 1890's at one time but now a hippie heaven like Ouray. Spent a lot of time in Breck and Copper Mt but now I ski Vail and Aspen mainly. Just lucky my knees have held up.

Twisted Tiger I know what Most Tiger fans expect and I know the issues Les Miles has had. I know football and if you look I mentioned it but didn't want my post to be about bashing him. THEIR ARE PLENTY OF TIGER FANS WILLING TO DO THAT AND ALOT OF IT DESERVED. Les Miles is a loyal person almost to a fault. But if by chance someone does still have the will to support him and appreciate some of the good things the man has done they are immediately told how misguided they are as I have been.

I am saying more along the line of what Stacey O commented. I sit and question the football decisions of Les and that is my right to do that as it is yours. But that isn't what it is all about for me.

It is for me to pull for my tigers with every ounce of cheering and voice I can muster.

I have seen the good and bad.
    I have seen undefeated seasons
I have seen relationships last with the players for years after graduation
I have seen the comraderies of football coaches
The thrill of a team accomplishing great things
    and
I have seen hoodlums take bricks to my dads car bashing all the windows and all over the car.
I have seen kids egg our house when me and my brother were 4 and 5 years old scaring the crap out of us
I have seen the tire tracks of cars driving through our yard at 3 am and lighting a bag of firecrackers
I have seen what football fans can expect in my life.
I could go on and on with stories of what fans expect

My dad saved a player from Alcoholic parents whose dad put a gun in his mouth and threatened to kill him. I don't remember if he won his football game that week...... But I am sure who played qb will come to me

I still support Les Miles and will as long as he is our Coach. I will disagree with him sometimes but I will also celebrate the good times and through it all I will pull for my tigers and remember all the memories of sharing my Love of the tigers with my family.
I know you care and want what is best for LSU . Just don't forget to enjoy the experience and lose track of what is really important.

I too have been there through good and bad. I've been in the stands for every second of every home game during 3 win seasons and still go. I too have supported Miles and have made many posts about what a good person he is and the many football related things he does so well. However Miles no longer deserves support from the LSU fan base. I'll continue to support the team, but not Miles. He is his own worst enemy and there are no more excuses for the way he has controlled the offense. The rise of Etling is just more proof of how clueless he is.
