You have to understand the situation of the game and how it played out. This was Joe Burrough first game at LSU and his starting right tackle gets hurt in the first qtr. LSU kept the tight end in the right side helping make sure we don't have our qb getting killed every pass. That changed our options . With the lead and our defense playing lights out the decision was made to go conservative. Would you rather we win by 38 and lose burrough. You play to win ultimately and that is what we did to a quality acc team. If more points would have been needed then our offense would have passed more. I predict what you are going to see against the sec teams like Auburn coming up is much more of passes to backs out of the backfield and once we develop a trust of the oline a little more some deep passes to our speedsters. Game one that was not needed so why tip our hand. We will also be using our tight ends more in the passing game. Miami defense was no pushover and it is good because Auburn defense will be tough too.
