I wanted to see Rob Bolden against Alabama, Nick Saban is a creature of habit, we saw what happened in Tuscaloosa when Jefferson came in for an ineffective Lee, we moved the football, should have scored twice, once when Ford stepped out of bounds, once when Reuben dropped a pass in the end zone. Bolden could have started that game, bringing Mett off the bench, it would have completely screwed up Nick Saban's gameplan. But what do I know, I'm just a caveman.

Besides, his record against Div. 1 competition is really pretty bad. Les picked him up because he didn't count against our scholarship limit and he could have potentially at least provided experience to back Mett up, if not compete for the starting job. He was a free pull of the slot machine, in other words. Too bad it came up lemons.

I choose to think that in todays version of college football, IF you get 14 points or more behind and YOU DON'T have a passing game, you are probably going to lose. It is simply
the way football is now. The NFL certainly does not look for the next guy that can just turn around and hand the ball off. Landry Jones would own
4 of LSU best 5 seasons in passing. Drew Brees having been out of college football since before this century began would also own the top 3 spots in LSU history. If I had a choice, I would rather see LSU do something about a very average history in the passing game.

I think I have made this known before.........but anyway:). The Jan after LSU beat Tenn for SEC title I flew Knoxville trips all month. During my goodbye PA to the pax I just happened to mention (every flight), that as an OFFICIAL REP of LSU I would like to offer congratulations to any Tenn fans on the airplane for their 2nd place finish in the SEC. The first time I made the PA, the flight attendant in the back chimed me to say that an entire row of businessmen had just cracked up laughing and she asked them why, they pointed to a guy a few rows up and said that was the Tenn AD, (I think Dickey back then). I made sure I was at the door to "tell him goodbye". He calmly walked up and asked if I was the "LSU guy", I proudly said yes..............he said you have any idea how much money you guys cost us...........I then told him how much!!!

Next trip, same PA, just so happened there were several Tenn FB players who also "axed" me same question about being the "LSU guy", I admitted I was, and "axed" them who they might be..........they said defensive backs! I then said well I will pretend I am Josh Reed and we will all get on the jetbridge and you see if you can cover ME any better than you tried to cover him.................they "axed" me, "you know Josh Reed'??? I said it was "tradition" at LSU that ALL FANS know ALL FOOTBALL players!!! The end.

Drew Brees is currently #1 in Big Ten history in passing yards
Landry Jones is currently #1 in Big 12 history in passing yards

    might as well add:
Philip Rivers, who is currently #1 in ACC history in passing yards
Matt Barkley, who is currently #1 in Pac 12 history in passing yards

What'd he do hurt himself falling off the bench? Or was it porcupine ass from riding said bench?

I kind of wonder why Bolden never saw the field too. Why would he come to LSU to just go to football practice?? What do I know, I am sitting next to you in the same cave!

I know, I just got tired of looking up numbers, when the first two I checked were what I thought, I figured that was enough.;)
