I agree, which is why the kneel downs were so strange. Why kneel it after you call what amounted to a trick play, compared to the rest of your play calling throughout the half? Or, an alternative thought.....Did Mett call the bootleg himself, and Les was reigning him in by not letting him finish the drive with a score?
That's the part that didn't make sense. Mett runs a naked boot leg designed to get big yardage and maybe even a TD, and then you kneel. Good ole Les. Always will keep us guessing.
I don't think Les actually made that call though. I think Metty went rogue and did that on his own. I think that's why Les kneeled it so early. On the sidelines he looked a little upset about the bootleg...kind of like he did on that Shep score against whomever it was I can't remember who really cars anyway we won the dadgum game yay geaux tigers win that trophy blah blah blah.....
He ran a trick play that almost scored a TD (actually it did, the refs blew it). So even you would have to be scratching your head on the entire series of events that took place.
