I look back at 03 and 07 with matt mauck and matt flynn. Mettenberger reminds me of them and i think he will carry us to a national championship next year. Your thoughts?

I hope he throws 50 TDs next season, including 5 vs Bama

Nobody has seen Mettenberger play at this level. How can he remind us of anybody?

I do recall him playing in a couple of games and I can say I have some concern. From what I've seen, he needs to keep the ball tucked closer to his body befoer he hands off... especially to Ware and Bell.

The only acton he saw this year was mop-up duty, can't take anything away from that.

All we know is he looks the part. He played great against Northwestern St., but let's see him in the meat of the schedule.

And we should not assume he's the anointed starter. He's certainly the odds on favorite, and I hope he's it but we can't pretend there aren't three other guys vying for the same spot.

If Randall plays substantial minutes, I hope that any option play beyond the read option is nestled away tightly in the bowels of the playbook.
