Despite the fact I enjoyed winning all the games we've won in the Miles Regime, tonight was the first night in a LONG time that I watched without straining every offensive play for our QB not to make some bone head mistake. To see him hit a receiver in stride on the swing pass, motioning receivers/backs to get in the right spots when they go to the line, putting the balls where either the receiver catches it or no one does, just being in command of the offense. It was such a welcome. He reallys makes our offense have balance. Opponents' DC's are going to have fits game planning for us. They'll have to account for everything. We're no longer one dimensional.
Ever had someone tell you "We could have passed all over the place, but we just chose not to?" This week I agree no question.
Tiga, I couldn't agree more. I keep telling everyone who will listen, it's DAMN refreshing to finally have a real quarterback under center again! Seriously, it's no wonder Les Miles is grinning from ear to ear every time we see him on the sidelines this year.
I pretty much masturbate all game just b/c I do not have to worry about wtf JJ or Lee is going to fuck up next
^^^Post of the year! Laser arm, decisive, and most of all, plays smart. Several times he either checked-down or recognized blown coverage. Funny part is, with all the drops, we're still not in our "rhythym" offensively. Shit's about to get out of control.
So that's what a passing game looks like. Mett looked really good. Don't have to throw bombs, those 10-15 yard strikes move the chains every time. Liked the playcalling too for a change.
Beckham is usually sure handed, Shepard, well, I really like Shepard but he just hasn't take that next step as a receiver. Landry, Beckham, Boone, and Wright, sounds like a law firm, are all good receivers that I think will be wonderful with ZM for the next 2 seasons. And Wright and Landry both block very well too.
