@kal you're an idiot. You clearly forget les has already won one big game. He just came off a perfect regular season. Excuse the fact that Jefferson USUALLY has succes against bama and picked the worst possible game to struggle.

I dont think anyone can disagree with this. And I dont think anyone is saying to try and let Mett carry the offense on his own. With Mett, there may be a chance to open things up a little more. He may be able to grasp more of the playbook, read defenses better, and have better decision making ability. On the same token, some of these attributes dont happen overnight. If Mett does have a football mind, it was something that has been built. Something that has probably been with him for some time. So that being said, he may very well have been a capable option before this season.

And my point, when option one isnt cutting it, and option number two is not an option, you go with option number three instead of giving up.

Jefferson struggled in every single game after Lee was benched.

I'm an idiot because I forgot he already won a big game?? Its not just that Jefferson had a bad game. It has nothing to do with wins during the regular season. You want to think he is great just because he won the NC game back in 07 thats fine. But I dont think someone can be an idiot for seeing far more than just that.

    Plainly stating...

HE DID NOT USE EVERYTHING AT HIS DISPOSAL IN A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME! HE GAVE UP IN THE THIRD QUARTER AND CONTINUED TO RUN THE FOOTBALL AGAINST A DEFENSE THAT PROVED FOR 2-1/2 QUARTERS THAT IT COULD STOP IT. HE SHOULD HAVE THROWN EVERYTHING INCLUDING THE KITCHEN SINK INTO THE GAME PLAN AT HALF TIME. HE DIDNT.

Guess what that makes him.... AN IDIOT

He's acting like a woman scorned. Most of the women on here are more reasonable than him, present company excluded, of course.

Jesus, let it go. What Mett does this year has no bearing on what might have happened last year. He will have had several months to learn and mature. He will have had several months of getting to know the receivers and the routes, he will have had many meetings with Krags to get a better understanding of the position and the offense.

In his own words he will have had time to work on order to get better and limit the mistakes. And when he shows the coaches that he has matured and learned he will be given the keys to the Cadillac.

I'd much prefer that he was given the keys to one of these:
